CPD

It should be noted that S.E.O.G. has no formal arrangement with any other organisation, such as the R.T.P.I., to recognise the value of our meetings/training in terms of accreditation of CPD points. As a courtesy, and in order to assist in maintaining a record for the individual attendee, S.E.O.G. provides a certificate at the end of each meeting which clearly states the subject matter of the given meeting.

Most Local Planning Authorities have or should have a training plan for all their employees which accepts and encourages the principle / ethic of CPD, therefore the provision by S.E.O.G. of a CPD certificate forms an important part of any individuals personal training record. With regard to a formally constituted body, for example the R.T.P.I., it would be for them to both take a considered view as to the content of an individual member's training record and subsequently pronounce upon the merit - in terms of maintaining up to date knowledge of legislation/working practices - of the referred to meeting/seminar/work attachment etc.
